MDF (medium-density fiberboard) cabinet doors have become the new standard for many homeowners and builders, and for good reason. MDF cabinet doors are typically less expensive than hardwood doors, but that doesn’t mean they’re ‘cheaper.’ Our MDF cabinet doors come pre-sanded and can be primed on all sides with a high-build primer. They require only light sanding before painting to remove any oils and marks from handling. Want to create a uniform, high-quality look for a room such as a kitchen or bathroom? While poplar cabinet doors are our most popular choice, we also craft custom hardwood cabinet doors in other outstanding hardwood species, including adler, cherry, maple, poplar, red oak, white oak, and walnut. Each of our high-quality hardwood cabinet doors is custom-made to your specifications using five-piece stile and rail construction in a standard thickness of ¾” (competitors’s doors are often thinner). And even the panels are made of hardwood, not plywood as in many cheaper off-the-shelf doors. That means better strength and uniform staining — so your cabinet doors will look better, and for a lot longer.
