From Kentucky Roots to Timeless Rooms
Since 1983, Cox Interior has transformed regional hardwoods into the quiet details that make a house feel like home. Doors that swing true, mouldings that meet cleanly, and stairs that feel solid underfoot. We began as a family shop serving local builders. Four decades later, the same promise drives us: do the work right, deliver on time, and stand behind every board that leaves our floor. Our growth never changed the standard—if it wouldn’t pass in our homes, it won’t pass in yours.

Our Story is a Kentucky Story
Our founder, Charles E. Cox, started Cox Interior in Campbellsville, KY in 1983 with a dream: build a market for superior building products using hardwoods like poplar, oak, and cherry. Through hands-on craftsmanship, steady investment, and a commitment to our employees, Cox Interior now operates across eight states, with an integrated headquarters campus owning the entire process under one roof: sawmill, kiln drying, knife grinding, precision moulders, a pre-hung door shop, finishing prep, and our own trucking. And because we manufacture the majority of the items we sell, our experienced craftsmen will ensure the quality of your order, and make sure you get what you need, when you need it.

Craftsmanship
Great edges aren’t an accident—they’re a habit. Our knife grinders match historic profiles to the thousandth. Kiln technicians tune schedules for seasonal humidity to help reduce movement and paint failures. Moulder operators watch grain and feed rates so surfaces finish clean, free of chatter. In our pre-hung door shop, specialists set reveals and strike locations so doors close with quiet confidence and installers spend less time tuning in the field. The result is a single design language that reads cohesive across the home—interior doors and mouldings, stair parts and railings, and shiplap—so base, case, crown, and door profiles resolve together instead of competing.
